OPENING THE PROGRAM
PowerPoint will be listed in Programs in your start menu.
The next screen will look like this:
PowerPoint gives you help at the level you want it.
You can use the AutoContent Wizard. This will create a whole presentation for you. All you need to do then is to go back and change the content of the text boxes and the graphics.
OR you can choose the Design Template. This choice gives you a decorated background and a color and font type combination that goes with it. You will have to create each slide, but some of the decisions are already made for you.
The final choice is a Blank Presentation. You can make all of the decisions on your own about background, content, graphics, colors and everything.

You can see a sample of each of the templates when you click on it. You may need to put your CD back into the computer to get some of the templates.

It will walk you step by step through creating a presentation and then make it for you. All you will need to do is to highlight the text it puts on each slide and add your own. You can also add anything else you want including more slides.
Even choosing a blank presentation is not difficult. PowerPoint gives you a choice of layout for the slides and all of the elements that you can add are easy to find in the menus.
