Workshop Objectives 1. The learners will have more knowledge of student centered, inquiry-based learning. 2. The learners will have more knowledge of potential uses of PowerPoint to support inquiry-based learning. 3. Learners will advance in the level of application of PowerPoint 4. Learners will begin to develop collaborative team relationships across the eMINTS cluster. Purpose of the Workshop The workshops and on-going instructional professional development experiences for the eMINTS teachers will be designed to facilitate the infusion of multimedia technologies into the teaching and learning process.  Training in the use of computers and other technologies is important, but the training must go beyond that to infusing the technologies into the instructional setting. Teachers must be prepared to use the technologies to support inquiry-based learning and to be facilitators of their students’ learning.  Technology offers powerful tools that are necessary for life in the 21st Century. Becoming proficient at using the tools is a worthy goal only if we simultaneously focus on the learning processes, the content, the Show Me Standards, and related performance assessments.
