This assignment is to be completed during October (prior to a follow-up session in November). We will be polling the teachers in each Cluster to determine the best date, time, and location.

 We want you to use the information gained in this workshop to design and carryout a PowerPoint application. When you return to your classroom begin to identify a concept or skill that you have planned in a current or upcoming lesson/unit for which you could use a PowerPoint presentation. This will allow you to demonstrate the potential uses of PowerPoint to your students.

 The PowerPoint Activity

• Develop a PowerPoint presentation on a current or upcoming unit concept/skill/knowledge;
• Implement the presentation in your classroom; and,
• Develop a journal entry about the experience.

 Note: Those eMINTS teachers who are more advanced with PowerPoint can elect to prepare an inquiry-based lesson using the program. An example of a lesson of this using one computer is described in the article called “Getting Everyone Involved” found in the end of your manual.
